Just a week before the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith) gets his first DVD and Blu-ray releases, the BBC and Warner Home Video are releasing two more classic Doctor Who serials on DVD in North America. This is happening on November 2nd, and we'll get a pair of Cybermen stories: The 4th Doctor (Tom Baker) in Doctor Who - Story #079: Revenge of the Cybermen, and also The 7th Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) in Doctor Who - Story #154: Silver Nemesis. Note that in other parts of the world, such as the U.K., these titles are paired together as a box set. In North America, though, BBC/Warner are only offering them separately, for $24.98 SRP each. Here are the available details:
Doctor Who - Story #079: Revenge of the Cybermen (Tom Baker as The 4th Doctor)
1 disc, ~100 minutes, 4 episodes, full frame video, English mono audio, English subtitles, $24.98 SRP
The time ring takes the Doctor, Sarah and Harry back to Nerva, but to a period many thousands of years earlier than their previous visit. The station is currently acting as a beacon, warning space traffic of the existence of a new asteroid orbiting Jupiter. This is Voga, also known as the planet of gold as that metal can be found in abundance there. The three friends learn that a space plague has killed all but a handful of Nerva's crew. A visiting civilian scientist named Kellman is in fact a traitor, working with a group of Cybermen who want to destroy Voga as gold dust can coat their breathing apparatus and suffocate them.

The Doctor and Ace visit England in 1988, where three rival factions - the Cybermen, a group of Nazis and a 17th Century sorceress named Lady Peinforte - are attempting to gain control of a statue made of a living metal, validium, that was created by Rassilon as the ultimate defense for Gallifrey. The statue has three components - a bow, an arrow and the figure itself - that must be brought together in order for it to be activated. They have been separated since 1638 when, in order to foil the first attempt by Peinforte to seize it, the Doctor launched the figure into orbit in a powered asteroid.
