Late this past month we
reported that Gaiam Americas will release
Dirty Jobs - Collection 5 on DVD, starting on
January 26th. Now the studio has filled us in on further details of this set! These 10 episodes, running 430 minutes long, will come on 2 discs at a cost of $19.98 SRP (but you can
pre-order it from Amazon at a discount). The packaging, seen below, will include an outer "o-ring" cover with foil and embossing.
As we've previously mentioned, Gaiam Americas is the Discovery Channel's new home video distributor, taking over from previous distributors Genius and Ingram. However, some previous licenses and contracts are still active, and so Ingram Entertainment is moving forward with their own release early next year. On
February 23rd they will generally release
Dirty Jobs - Something Fishy, a title that was previously available only through direct sale online. Ingram's description of this 4-episode, 167-minute disc says: "
In this seafood special, Mike Rowe examines some of the dirtiest jobs on water. And between the catching and gutting, the freezing temperatures and terrible motion sickness, it's no wonder he ends up a little crabby. " Video is full frame, audio is English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo, and costs $14.98 SRP. Front cover art for this disc can be found at the bottom:
