With a September premiere of Showtime's sixth season on the horizon, Amazon has now begun taking pre-orders for a release of
Dexter - The 5th Season on both
DVD and high-def
Blu-ray Disc formats. These listings are prior to the official Paramount Home Entertainment announcement for the title, though, so instead of a street date Amazon only says "
This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives" (expect it around mid-August, however, since that's when we've traditionally seen these releases occur). Pricing is available for each version of the next title, currently showing $54.99 SRP for the standard DVD and $64.99 SRP for the Blu-ray (you can, of course, lock in your copy right away at a discounted price, if you order it using either of the above links). There are no other details available so far at Amazon's entries, nor is there cover art yet (only some temporary promo art).
