Wow, just earlier this week we
brought you Showtime/Paramount's official announcement for the May 5th release of
Dexter - The 2nd Season on high-definition Blu-ray Disc. And now Amazon has begun taking pre-orders for the 3rd Season set!
There's no street date provided there, but you can actually lock in your copy of
Dexter - The 3rd Season right now on either
DVD format or
Blu-ray Disc format, and the e-tailer will ship it to you whenever it's in stock at their warehouse. Note that the previous DVD releases occurred in August, so it may be a while.
The DVD release listing is shown with a $42.99 SRP, but Amazon is currently discounting it to $27.99. The BD version is shown at $59.99 SRP, but Amazon's discounted cost is $41.99 at this time. Note that both discounted costs are as of this writing, and could change without warning at Amazon's discretion. Amazon also is showing some temp art for both versions, both with the same key art that Showtime is using to promote this season. We have a look at the Blu-ray version below, but even with the "BD frame" around it, we're sure it's not the final version just yet (it doesn't even say "
The 3rd Season). Stay tuned and we'll keep you updated about this release when the studio provides any additional information.
