Last July we
passed on word from Sony that fan enthusiasm about
Designing Women had convinced them to go ahead with a Season 1 release. But there's been a bit more info posted on the internet since then, way back in November. We missed it, however, until one of our readers thought to send us a heads-up about this info. So we thank Heath Castor for tipping us off to the post at
The Designing Women Tribute Page. Here's what they have to say:
After an overwhelming number of emails from our Belled Online subscribers, Sony waived the white flag and announced tentative plans to release Season One of Designing Women on DVD in 2006. The first set is indeed in production, and this website has even been contacted to help with artwork. Expect Season One to be released around summer of 2006.
Summer 2006...cool, we'll keep an eye out for more info about that. Stay tuned for updates and developments on this just as soon as they're available.
