Amazon has recently added a listing for
Deadwood: The Complete Series on Blu-ray, marking the first time the series will be released in the format. This is an Amazon "First to Order" (FTO) listing, so it doesn't contain a release date. Thanks to the artwork, we know the set will feature 1080p video, as well as DTS-HD Master Audio in 5.1. (which should make Swearengen's colorful language sound better than ever).
Most complete series sets see individual seasons released before the "big one," HBO has released complete series sets on Blu-ray before; last year's release of
Rome: The Complete Series.
We'll have more information once it's available, but for now you can
preorder the set for $146.99 (30% off the suggested price of $209.98).
