From 2003 to 2008, all six seasons of the TV adaption of Stephen King's
The Dead Zone, starring Anthony Michael Hall (
Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club), has been released on DVD. And sometimes retailers, on their own, have bundled those six sets together and sold them at a single price. However, it may surprise you to know that the studio has never officially released "
The Dead Zone - The Complete Series"...until now! In Canada, that is.
This past August, Maple Pictures - which was founded by Lionsgate and distributed Lionsgate's products in Canada,
was sold to Alliance Films Media, who is now releasing north-of-the-border "complete series" sets for
Saved by the Bell and
ALF (the latter of which isn't available to pre-order at Amazon.ca yet). Now Alliance seems to be working on
The Dead Zone next.
We say "seems to be," because the studio hasn't officially announced the title yet. However,
an Amazon.ca pre-order listing shows that a bilingual (English and French, since this is for Canada) release of
The Dead Zone - The Complete Series is scheduled for
June 26th. Cost is CA$91.99 SRP, but you can pre-order it at the provided link for a substantial discount! No package art or other details have been made available yet, but stay tuned and we'll try to update you as soon as we can!
