A new
direct-to-video Dead Like Me film is supposed to be coming out later in 2008. The studio has not given it a release date so far, and the original series' lead reaper (played by Mandy Patinkin of
Criminal Minds) is out and will be replaced by
Lost's "Desmond," Henry Ian Cusick. Expect stars Ellen Muth and Jasmine Guy (
A Different World) to return, however.
While you're waiting for that, now would be a great time to get caught up on both seasons of the series this new production is based on, which originally aired on Showtime starting in 2003. Amazon is running a 1-Day "Gold Box" sale on them today,
