It appears the October 18 release of
Dark Shadows will be in widescreen, not the proper Full Frame version that was shown on its original TV broadcast. We double-checked with MGM, and they have confirmed the aspect ratio. The company recently merged with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, and the people who started the project have either left the company, or are working in different positions, so tracking down information on why this release is widescreen is proving to be difficult (but we're still working on it).
