We received a number of emails from a group of fans that somehow received their copies of
Daniel Boone season 3 early, and they all reported a problem playing disc 6 in the set (it wouldn't play due to a mastering issue). We called Liberation Entertainment and they were already aware of the problem, and working to fix it. We just received an email from them outlining the steps they're taking to correct the problem. Here's what they had to say:
- Most, but not all, of these units are being replaced before they hit retail, so most consumers will not be affected by this problem.
- On Monday, we will launch DanielBooneonDVD.com. Any consumer who has a faulty disc can go there to request a new disc replacement, and they will also receive a cool Daniel Boone for President bumper sticker (image below).
- We’re moving the street date to May 8th to accommodate the above.
Very good news for fans looking forward to this set. Chances are you won't receive a set that has a bad disc 6, but if you do you'll receive a replacement disc and a bumper sticker for your troubles. Here's a shot of the sticker:
