A few weeks ago Sony Pictures Home Entertainment issued
a press release for their upcoming DVD release of
Damages - The Complete 2nd Season. At the time the studio's info was that the set would arrive on January 12th, at a cost of $49.95 SRP. Overnight, though, the studio advised retailers and press that they've changed both of those factors.
The list price for this 3-disc set has been reduced by ten dollars, to $39.95 SRP. But at the same time Sony's also had to set the schedule back by a week: the new release date is now
January 19th. No reason for these changes was provided. Everything else about the set appears to be the same, though. If you've already ordered with Amazon, then you should have no worries: if Amazon's price goes down any further because of the list price drop, then their policy is to apply the lower price when the product ships.
