This morning Warner Home Video has announced that
Dallas - The Complete 11th Season is on the way for DVD release, arriving in stores on
April 21st. 30 episodes will come on 3 double-sided "DVD-18" discs, at a cost of $39.98 SRP. Bonus material, if any, hasn't been revealed yet. Video is full screen, and audio is English mono.
Many of the cast and characters seen in this season are familiar to longtime
Dallas fans, but a few noteworthy first appearances happen in this season: Jack Scalia (TV's
Wolf) arrives as "Nicholas Pearce", with his eyes set on Sue Ellen. Andrew Stevens (
The Boys of Company C; son of Stella Stevens) is seen for the first time as "Casey Denault". And before long he's got his sights set on Charlene Tilton's "Lucy," who returns to the show before the season is over. The lovely Michele Scarabelli (
Alien Nation) comes in as "Connie Hall" for a half-dozen episodes. But the biggest name by far is none other than Brad Pitt (currently in
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), who appears in 4 episodes as "Randy".
Package art isn't available yet [
UPDATE: Package art has now been sent over by the studio, and is posted at the bottom], but we do have a list of episodes for you. This morning's information also mentions that the 12th Season set is already being worked on, so look for that later in 2009. Maybe the final 14-season run will all be out by year's end? We're not sure, and it would seem to be rushing things to expect that...but it sure would be great if it was. Stay tuned!
