Crossings (mini-series) - DVDs for Danielle Steel's 1986 Mini-Series Starring Cheryl Ladd

No specific release date yet, but Visual Entertainment Inc. says to watch for it on DVD!

Posted by David Lambert
Visual Entertainment, Inc. (VEI) is well-known in North America for TV-DVD releases (in both the USA and Canada) of some highly acclaimed television shows, including The Sentinel, Barnaby Jones, Cannon, Grace Under Fire, Hotel, Cagney & Lacey, The Equalizer, Nash Bridges, Hell's Kitchen, Diagnosis Murder, McMillan and Wife, In Search Of..., The Mod Squad, John Byner's Bizarre, (Chef Gordon) Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, and many more. Now the Toronto-based studio is announcing that they are gearing up to release a new slate of TV-DVDs, and one of the classic TV mini-series programs to "watch for" will be Crossings.

This is the 1986 mini-series which aired over multiple nights on ABC for 6 hours, based on the 1982 novel by Danielle Steel. The cast included Cheryl Ladd (Charlie's Angels, Las Vegas), Lee Horsley (Matt Houston, Nero Wolfe), Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country), Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn Morphine Woman, Battlestar Galactica), Joan Fontaine (Suspicion, Rebecca), and an appearance by Kelsey Grammer (Cheers, Frasier).

It's been released overseas in the past, but this will be the first time it comes to North America. This production is just ONE item, ASIDE from a very impressive list of 11 newly-named weekly TV series (see our news posts yesterday about each of those items). NOTE that a specific release date has NOT BEEN SET so far...nor do we have details or package art at this time, either; just the heads-up to expect this release in the future. Stay tuned for updates, as further developments occur!
