It was in the Fall of 2004 that Anchor Bay
first told us to expect the second (and final) season of
Crime Storyto finally reach DVD in the Fall 2005 timeframe. Then, a couple of months ago, we
brought you a specific release date courtesy of Amazon.com: August 23rd. Now Anchor Bay is preparing to formally announce the title, and the release has a new street date that's a few weeks later than that:
September 20th.
Crime Story - Season 2's $39.98 SRP is still the same, though, and for that cost you will get a 4-DVD set with all the remaining episodes from the show's final season: "The Senator, The Movie Star, And the Mob", "Blast From The Past", "Always A Blonde", "Atomic Fallout", "Shockwaves", "Robbery, Armed", "Little Girl Lost", "Love Hurts", "MIG-21", "Moulin Rouge", "Seize The Time", "Femme Fatale", "Protected Witness", "Last Rites", "Pauli Taglia's Dream", "Roadrunner", "The Brothel Wars" (aka Desert Justice), "Byline", "The Hearings", "Pursuit", "Escape", and "Going Home". All 22 episodes are going to be presented in full frame video. Extras, if any, have not been made available yet.
Even though
Amazon's pre-order listing still reflects the previous release date, you can still use that link to pre-order it (current price there is $27.99), and Amazon will adjust their date in the not-too-distant future. Stay tuned and we'll bring you cover art and any further details once available.
