The Cosby Show appeared on NBC from 1984 to 1992, becoming one of the most popular programs in the history of television. The Cosby Show depicted a close-knit and prosperous African-American family (The Huxtables) that dwelled in New York City. Dr. Heathcliff (OB-GYN) and Clair (attorney) Huxtable were a happily married, dual-profession couple with aspirations of raising their 5 children in an uplifting, positive environment. The Cosby Show held TV's #1 slot for a record 5 consecutive years (1985 to 1990) and stayed in the Top 20 shows for all eight seasons it was on NBC.
First Look Studios has announced that the final two seasons of The Cosby Show are being released separately on the same date, April 8th. Both The Cosby Show - Season 7 and The Cosby Show - Season 8 will cost $24.98 SRP each, and include all the episodes from each season, plus "Cosby-isms" from the indicated season as an extra.

Early during the 7th season (four episodes in) we get a new family member: Erika Alexander (who would later go on to star in Living Single) joins the cast as Claire's distant cousin "Pam Tucker," a junior-high-aged girl (between Rudy and Vanessa's ages) who comes to live with the Huxtables. Guest appearances are made in the final two seasons by Vanessa Williams (Soul Food, Melrose Place), Michael Weatherly (Dark Angel, NCIS), John Ritter (Three's Company, 8 Simple Rules) and his wife Amy Yasbeck (Wings, Robin Hood: Men in Tights), Leslie Uggams (The Leslie Uggams Show, Roots), baseball legend Frank Robinson, Oscar-winning actor and comedian Red Buttons, Audrey Landers (Dallas), E.G. Marshall (The Caine Mutiny, Superman II, Chicago Hope) and Lynne Thigpen (L.A. Law, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, The District) and CCH Pounder (ER, The Shield), among many others. Listen in a couple of 7th Season episodes for the voice of Ahmad Rashad, husband of Phylicia Rashad ("Claire Huxtable"), as he does announcements within the context of the stories.

Stay tuned and we'll have cover art for you as soon as we can! Our thanks to reader Karen Bouchard for being the first to send us the heads-up about this info.
