In our
most recent report about First Look's
November 11th DVD release of
The Cosby Show - 25th Anniversary Commemorative Edition, we showed evidence that all 8 seasons of the show would be provided on this 26-disc set in the original, uncut network broadcast versions. Now the studio has confirmed that info directly to us, so there are no worries on that score. They also tell us that the episodes have all been remastered.
Unfortunately, they will not be re-releasing Season 1 separately at this time with those uncut episodes. We are not categorically stating that such a release will "never" happen. However, First Look has no plans for it right now. Their focus is currently on the release of this "complete series" package in time for the holidays.
