Set in the affluent San Diego County suburb of Coronado, California Coronado 9 stars the ruggedly handsome Rod Cameron as Dan Adams, a former Naval Intelligence officer turned private detective. Using his wits as well as his brawn, Adams takes on cases too hot for others to handle, which often involve wealthy and celebrated clients. Adams gets taken from his base in Coronado to far-flung corners of the world in search of justice.
Timeless Media Group (TMG) has announced that
Coronado 9 - The Complete Series will be released on DVD this
December 14th. Broadcast as a syndicated show in 1960, the program - sometimes spelled "
COronado-9" to indicate the telephone prefix which marked the neighborhood the show took place in - ran for just one season. This 4-disc set runs 975 minutes for 39 episodes, and costs $34.98 SRP. Here's the box art (note that the NBC peacock logo is on the cover because NBC-Universal licensed the show to TMG for DVD release):
