Back in late July we
broke the news that Ridley Scott's mini-series,
The Company, was coming to both DVD and Blu-ray Disc format. The show aired on TNT, and starred Chris O'Donnell, Michael Keaton and Alfred Molina in a dramatized look at the CIA's beginnings and how it functioned during the days of the Cold War. A few weeks ago, in August, we were still on top of this release, giving you the
first look at the extras, AND at the box art for both the standard and hi-def versions of the home video release.
Now we've gotten the rear cover art for the Blu-ray Disc version of this release, and we've posted it below for you to look at, along with a slightly sharper look at the front cover than the one we had last time (hey, we hi-def fans demand sharp visuals, right?). Our thanks to Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for these pics.
More importantly, though, is that many of you have been frustrated because you wanted to go ahead and pre-order this Blu-ray version from Amazon, but for some reason they were only
listing a pre-order on the DVD version. Well, we noticed that too, and we mentioned it to both Amazon and to Sony the other day. Things got resolved very quickly after that, and yesterday
Amazon.com added a pre-order listing for The Company on Blu-ray. So go ahead and order this hi-def version if you possibly can use it; their cost for this 2-disc BD set is just $39.15 right now, discounted from Sony's list price of $55.95 SRP!
