Next week, on January 13th, 15th and 16th, CBS will air Comanche Moon: The Road to Lonesome Dove
, a new mini-series by Larry McMurtry and which is supposed to be the final effort in the "Lonesome Dove" saga (but keep in mind that this story takes place before the events of Lonesome Dove
). The six-hour production stars Val Kilmer (Top Gun, Tombstone

Then, on February 26th
, Sony will release a 2-DVD set of Comanche Moon: The Road to Lonesome Dove - Extended Edition
, featuring footage only available on these DVDs. In addition to that main feature, which runs 284 minutes, there will be 3 bonus featurettes included as extras: a "making-of" documentary, a behind-the-scenes featurette, and one about "Comanche Heritage." The production will be presented in Widescreen with English Dolby 5.1 audio, and English and French subtitles. Cost will be $29.95 SRP.
