Fans were upset when they read the back of the box for "The Complete Sixth & Seventh Seasons" because it said:
The landmark crime series of the 1970s comes to a captivating conclusion in these final episodes, but you can always count on everyone's favorite police lieutenant to say, "Oh, there's just one more thing..."
Some fans misinterpreted that to mean the show was done on DVD, but why would Universal stop releasing it when there are years worth of TV movies to put out? Well, they wouldn't, and they aren't. One of our retail friends has told us to expect the next
Columbo set at the end of
April (we're guessing that's the
24th). No word on how many movies will be part of the set, but it should be comparable to previous releases in terms of content. Will they continue to refer to these as seasons, or will this be "The Movie Collection Vol 1"? We don't know.
