Columbo - The Complete 4th Season is coming to DVD on
March 14th, according to an announcement this morning by Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The $39.98 SRP is for 3 single-sided DVDs running a total of 539 minutes. As usual, video is full frame and audio is English mono, just as originally broadcast. English subtitles are also on board. There were no extras on the previous three releases except for a bonus episode of
Mrs. Columbo on the third season, so stay tuned and we'll see how things fall out for this release.
You can see the thumbnail-sized box art that Universal provided as an early sneak peek. If that pic looks familiar, that's because it is pretty close in design to the shot used
on the first season box cover. Another thing we noticed is that the "NBC Mystery Movie" logo that was added for the
3rd season box is not present on this pic of the 4th season package. Stay tuned and we'll have a bigger shot of that box just as soon as the studio provides it.
