That's the question we've received over 50 times since posting the news that Frasier season 9 is coming in May. Fans know that the two shows are usually released on the same day, but that has come to an end. CBS/Paramount doesn't have Cheers season 9 on the schedule at this time. That means at this time it doesn't have a date, it does not mean the set has been canceled and will never be released. We've seen numerous shows return to the schedule after a long hiatus (Mary Tyler Moore, Mad About You, 7th Heaven...). It's not a good sign that season 9 hasn't been scheduled, but fans can hope they're just taking a break before releasing the final 3 seasons. If you haven't purchased season 8 yet then you should pick it up and show support for the series.
