We continue to get e-mails regularly from readers that tell us that CharliesAngels.com had posted info saying that the show's 3rd Season would come to DVD on April 25, 2006. We always politely (or maybe not so politely, depending on our moods, but we do try to be polite!) tell those readers that we
posted that info waaaay back in September 2005. Sony told us at the time that they were surprised that such a date got out there seven months in advance, and that it wasn't a sure thing.
Well, it looks like the studio was right to be cautious. They've shared their April 2006 slate of TV-DVDs with us, including
the already-announced Dawson's Creek - Season 6. The Sony Picture Home Entertainment TV-DVD slate for April is a very short list this month, with the remainder of the titles not being publicly announced for a couple of more weeks. But
Charlie's Angels is for certain not among them. Sorry.
Now, that doesn't mean it isn't coming. For all we know (and we DON'T know, so don't read anything into this), the set could be part of the May slate. Or June. Or whatever. Sony isn't ready to talk yet, but we'll keep trying to coax the info out of them. For now, we just wanted to officially let you know that the date the fansite gave is not correct. Stay tuned for updates just as soon as we can provide them.
