Following up on their recent
first such release, Warner Home Video has announced another
Peanuts DVD that will combine a 3-segment episode of
Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show with one of the classic specials. This time around, the DVD title is "
Happiness Is Peanuts: Snow Days," and it will be out on
October 18th at a cost of $14.97 SRP. Video is full screen, audio is English mono, and an online trailer along with the package art can both be seen below.
In the 18th (and final!) episode of
The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show, "Sally's Sweet Babboot," the three included segments are: "The Play" (Charlie Brown writes a school essay describing a disjointed Christmas play the Peanuts gang participated in the previous holiday season), "Sweet Babboo!" (Sally's unrequited love for Linus comes to a boil on Valentine's Day), and "Snoopy's Story" (where Peppermint Patty describes the many odd exploits of Charlie Brown's beagle).
Up first on this disc, though, is the 19th-ever
Charlie Brown/Peanuts special, which debuted on CBS in 1980: "
She's a Good Skate, Charlie Brown." This new-to-DVD remastered special is the tale of how Snoopy and Marcie each offer different contributions - with varying degrees of success - toward making Peppermint Patty a world-class figure skater. All together you'll get 135 minutes of classic animated fun. Here's a trailer, and both the front and back of the packaging:
