October 5th Blu-ray release of
A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving: Remastered Deluxe Edition.
Like the DVD version of this title, released back in 2008, the Blu-ray Disc version will include the bonus cartoon, "The Mayflower Voyagers" (which is the first episode of the 8-part mini-series
This Is America, Charlie Brown), as well as a Featurette titled "Popcorn & Jellybeans: Making a Thanksgiving Classic." Like the high-def releases of the Christmas and Halloween
Peanuts specials, this Thanksgiving release on Blu-ray is a Combo Pack, meaning that the DVD version is included in the same box as the BD version. Cost for this 2-disc set is $24.98 SRP.
On the same date of
October 5th, Warner Home Video is also releasing the Blu-ray version of
Deluxe Holiday Collection: 3 Remastered Classics. This BD box set contains all three of Charlie Brown's most special holiday specials:
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: Remastered Deluxe Edition, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving: Remastered Deluxe Edition and
A Charlie Brown Christmas: Remastered Deluxe Edition. These are the same items that are sold separately, but the studio is sliding them into an outer case to package them as a set. So the content is the same: Blu-ray versions of all three specials, DVD versions of all three specials, and each of those discs (on both formats) containing the featured special, a bonus special, and a featurette. Cost is $42.93 SRP.
