Last month we
broke the news that Warner Home Video is preparing a 2-DVD collection titled
Peanuts: 1970's Collection, Volume 1. We had all the details of the completely remastered contents and extras for this release, and even an early look at the box art. But we didn't have the release date, or the pricing, because the studio had not formally announced the set.
Today Warner made it official, scheduling the release for
October 20th, and pricing it at $29.98 SRP. Running 175 minutes long, these newly-polished specials (two of them never before released on DVD) will be presented in the original broadcast format of full screen video and English mono audio. Other audio soundtrack options include Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. Subtitles are also on board in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese and Thai.
