Yesterday Warner Home Video
announced that their DVD release of
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: Remastered Deluxe Edition would be available beginning on
September 2nd, and that their new edition would include a bonus
Peanuts TV special. We speculated that this bonus special would possibly be "
You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown" (included on the previous DVD release of
Great Pumpkin in 2000, when the franchise was distributed by Paramount).
As it turns out, we were mistaken. Warner has revealed that the bonus special will instead be the Emmy-nominated 1981 special "
It's Magic, Charlie Brown" One notable point about this special is that Charlie Brown *finally* gets to kick the football from Lucy...and more than once! And with a witness! It's truly a magic moment for good ol' Chuck...don't miss it, OR miss Snoopy as "The Great Hound-ini"!
