In mid-December we
reported that DVDs for
Chappelle's Shows - Season 2 had been delayed in order to tie in with the similarly-delayed broadcast start of the third season of the show. At the time, a new date had not been set.
Some fans saw some hope for an early April release when
DVDPlanet.com posted a 4/5 ship date, but we Paramount says otherwise. A recent bulletin from the studio which distributes this title says that
Chappelle's Shows - Season 2 is tentatively rescheduled for May. No exact date is available yet.
We asked a Paramount exec to comment on the DVDPlanet date for this title, as well as
the e-tailer's 4/26 date for
Have Gun Will Travel - Season 2, which
the studio says is "delayed indefinitely". Paramount simply replied, "I think they got ahead of themselves." It was made clear that the studio does not think either date can be attained. To sum up: fans who are seeing these dates at DVDPlanet or affiliated e-tailers should not count on them, because the studio says
Chappelle's Show - Season 2 won't be any sooner than May, and
Have Gun Will Travel - Season 2 will probably be later than that. Stay tuned for updates.
