After the Warner Archive's release of
The Original Mini-series on DVD, fans have been wondering when we'll see more of the
Challenge of the GoBots cartoons! In the past few days the folks at the Warner Archive Collection have answered questions about this on their Facebook page quite positively: This past Saturday, Beth Bonnstetter
asked, "
Hi, are there any more GoBots releases planned?" The studio's short answer was: "
Yes. Stay tuned!" But that didn't get into a lot of details, so earlier today Stuart Shankland
followed up by inquiring this way: "
Hi, are you clsoe [sic]
to releasing the wrest [sic]
of The Gobots Series(AKA)Challenge [sic]
Of The Gobots, Including Episodes 6-65." The reply from the Warner Archive Collection didn't provide any details about when, how much, or how the contents will be divided up, but they were very definite when they responded, "
We're still planning to release the rest of this series." It's great to know that this is in the works! We'll keep you posted, of course, with any updates we get prior to the announcement of the next manufacture-on-demand (MOD) title. And the announcement itself, of course, whenever that comes.
