We've been talking about the Hanna-Barbera Collection with people close to the project, and picked up some interesting tidbits along the way. They tell us that work on Flintstones - Season Two, Wacky Races and Top Cat is progressing rapidly, and that fans can expect some nice bonus material on these sets.
Top Cat was singled out as an example of some fantastic supplements, including an on-camera video reunion/discussion with the voice cast including
Marvin Kaplan, Leo DeLyon and, if all goes well, Top Cat himself, Arnold
Stang flying in from the east coast. This should happen in the next few weeks.
Also included will be the original story boards for the Top Cat main titles, but it's the reunion news that is particularly tasty! Arnold Stang doesn't come out to the west coast often, we're told. Let's hope he makes it!
Our sources also mentioned that they saw our news items about Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear and Josie And The Pussycats. They were quick to point out that no work has been done on those titles yet, but that the three are all on the short list of projects Warner Home Video is looking at doing. Stay tuned, and we'll bring you any further updates about those, or other items in the TV-on-DVD category of the Hanna-Barbera Collection, just as soon as we get the word.
