Time Life's big 22-DVD release of
The Carol Burnett Show - The Ultimate Collection, available since this past August, is made up of several sub-set collections of discs. One of them, "
Carol's Favorites," came out separately at retail as
a 6-disc "Collector's Edition" this past September. Since the big set is only available online, and many folks prefer to get their product in person, fans have been wondering if any more pieces of the big package will be made available individually. The answer is "yes!"
Time life is releasing the 6-disc group labeled "
This Time Together," now sold separately (and with a revision to the package art, we're told, but we haven't received the actual images yet), and labeled as a "Collector's Edition" as well. That is due everywhere on
March 26th for $59.95 SRP. It will have the same content as listed on Time Life's
press release for the 22-DVD
Ultimate set, for Disc #8 and Discs #10-14. No changes will be found; Time Life tells us this will be the exactly same content on those discs as in the bigger
Ultimate set.
Or, if you prefer just a small, inexpensive taste of Carol, there will also be a "
This Time Together: The Best Of" title coming out as well. This is a single-disc release for just $12.98 SRP, and Time Life tells us the street date on it is a month and a week earlier than the big set, on
February 19th. This will consist of the content of Disc #10 that is listed at the press release linked above. But it will additionally contain the "Sunnyset Boulevard" (parody of
Sunset Boulevard) sketch with Carol and Harvey Korman from the 22nd disc, the "Focus on ‘The Family' " Featurette found on the 18th disc, and the "Bring Up the Lights: Carol's Q&As" Featurette found on the 19th disc.
