One of our readers, "Nathan", wrote in yesterday to let us know that he had found
a thread at Shout! Factory's message boards that talked about
Captain N and the New Super Mario World. In the fifth post down, Shout! DVD producer Brian Ward responds with some concrete info about an upcoming release for this show, which is apparently under way already. Here's what he says:
The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! is available from Shout! Factory via our TWO volumes. These represent the complete series, with the exception of The Legend of Zelda, which is available in its own set.
I'm also very happy to announce that I've begun SUPERVISING the work on a complete series set for Captain N & The New Super Mario World. I won't be producing this set, due to a great deal of projects on my plate. But no fear, the producer tapped knows my style VERY well, as he's helped put together bonus features for several of my sets. Incidentally, he's also been my best friend and editor for the past 12 years, so I have complete faith.
Due to the amount of bonus materials that we've included in the previous Super Mario and Captain N sets, I can't promise this one will have much--if any. But I can say that it will complete your collections and I'm looking forward to seeing that done.
