Late last week we had
an update about
California Dreams on DVD: we let you know that the release is going to consist of the first two seasons of the show, coming on
March 31st from Shout! Factory. We also had some info about extras.
California Dreams cast member Brentley Gore has been
telling fans about the bonus material being planned for the
Seasons 1 and 2 DVD release, but our sources have let us know that we should actually be taking it with a small grain of salt. Oh, it's probably not anything bad on Brent's part, other than perhaps a misunderstanding somewhere along the way. He mentioned to the fan site that he, Kelly Packard, Michael Cade and Jennie Kwan would be shooting "interviews and commentary" for the release...those are the words that were used there, anyway.
But we're told that there aren't currently plans for "commentary," at least in the traditional DVD form of Audio Commentary Tracks for individual episodes. Shout! Factory doesn't have those in their plans right now for this release. So far there's going to be a Featurette, with a reunion between the four cast members mentioned above. And also there will be direct chapter access to the Music Video Segments that are found in every episode. Shout! is hoping to possibly include more extras, and commentary tracks aren't *completely* out of the question, but so far nothing else is written in stone besides the reunion and the music segments. We'll have the final list of supplements, though, when Shout! issues their official press release for this title. Stay tuned!
