Last November we had
the heads-up that S'More Entertainment had struck a deal to release DVDs, both as a set and individually, of the 4 post-series telefilms for
Cagney & Lacey. We followed up in April with S'More's official
fact sheet for the 4-DVD package set, lovingly titled "
Cagney & Lacey - The Menopause Years" (which is how the cast and crew referred to these reunions while they were being shot). The fact sheet gave a street date of August 25th, and we had early key art at the time, but not a finished box cover.
Now Amazon.com has set up pre-order listings for both
Cagney & Lacey - The Menopause Years, and for the first of the four individual telefilm releases as well:
Cagney & Lacey - The Return. Both show a different release date than the studio had previously provided, and we've confirmed with S'More that the schedule has indeed been changed. These two titles will be available on
September 29th. Our thanks to a reader, "Robert," for spotting the change in dates and pointing them out to us. Amazon had front cover art for the single-disc release of
The Return (see bottom), and S'More was kind enough to provide us with the first look at the finished front cover for
