When we first
reported on
C.S.I. - The Complete 4th Season, the release date Paramount had lined up was in the middle of September. Now we have solid word that the release date has been pushed back a month, to
October 12 (same date as
C.S.I.: Miami - The Complete 2nd Season).
The good news is that we've verified that there are extras on this set, that are similar to those we've seen before. We don't have all the details yet, but expect 4 featurettes, and commentary on 7 out of the 23 episodes during this season.

is passing along today a
Variety report that the actors have been fired from the show. It's said that both actors had requested a salary bump, and been turned down. Fox allegedly missed a 5PM deadline on Wednesday to return a letter in which she was required to state that she would return to work, which
Variety reports that she disputes: sources close to Fox say she sent the letter over. As of Wednesday evening, though, she was officially released from her contract, and the following morning Eads was let go as well when he failed to report to the set on time for filming. A search is supposed to be underway for replacements at this time, but for now we'll just have to enjoy the original cast on DVD (and CBS will have to pray that the cast shakeup doesn't impact the ratings of one of their hottest shows!):
