Even people who don't watch
C.S.I. have heard about all the changes in the show during its most recent - and strike-shortened! - season. And now all 17 hour-long episodes are coming home, as CBS and Paramount Home Entertainment have announced the
October 14th release of
C.S.I. - The Complete 8th Season.
Stars William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Gary Dourdan, George Eads, Jorja Fox and Liz Vassey get some visits this year from Harold Perrineau (
Lost), Brittany Robertson (
Swingtown), William Russ (
Boy Meets World), John Billingsley (
Star Trek: Enterprise), Erika Alexander (
Living Single), Gail O'Grady (
NYPD Blue), Zack Ward (
Titus), Nicole Sullivan (
Mad TV), Eric Pierpoint (
Alien Nation), Julie Brown (
Paradise Falls), Method Man (
The Wire), Katey Sagal (
Married...with Children) and more.
Video will be in widescreen, and audio in English 5.1 with a Spanish option. Other details, including pricing and package art, aren't available yet, but stay tuned for more.
In the meantime, for
C.S.I. fans north of the border, Alliance Atlantis is planning on releasing several DVD titles related to the show and it's spin-offs. The first two titles listed below appear to each be just a single-disc release focusing on the named characters, and going for CA$25.99 SRP per title. Those two come out in just two weeks, on July 29th. Then on August 12th the other three titles come out; each is a multi-disc set that costs CA$105.99 SRP and - from the titles, anyway - appear to be a "best of" release. Each title listed below is a link to Amazon's Canadian branch, where you can pre-order them at a discount right away. We've asked Alliance Atlantis for more information; we'll let you know what they tell us, if they respond:
