At the beginning of this month
we let you know that Amazon had begun taking advance orders for
C.S.I.: NY - The 5th Season, even though the studio hadn't formally announced the title yet. This morning CBS/Paramount made it officially, scheduling a release date of
September 29th (adding to an
already-very-crowded TV-DVD release month!).
Very few details are available so far, but the video will be anamorphic widescreen, and audio options include English 5.1 and Spanish Stereo. It will also be closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Running time is 1063 minutes, and the cost is supposedly $49.99 SRP...but that pricing is taken from the original info at Amazon's pre-order listing, and may not be the official studio info. Also subject to change is the cover art we show you below, which is an early picture and may not be final:
