Hanna-Barbera's animated group of globe-trotting spies disguised as a pop band - otherwise known as
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids - might be headed to DVD next year, according to
a comment made a week ago by the studio people at the Warner Archive Collection's fan page on Facebook. The manufacture-on-demand (MOD) program's team was asked about this show, along with
Speed Buggy, a few days prior by fan William Andrews. What Warner told him in response sure makes it sound like they have plans in mind for 1973's musical cartoon: "
No date for BUTCH yet, but we won't leave him alone in the vault." Nice to see, especially when you consider the voice cast of the show includes the likes of Micky Dolenz (
The Monkees, The Tick), Alan Oppenheimer (the original
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, The Six Million Dollar Man), Cam Clarke (the remade
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, the original
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Tick), Judy Strangis (
Room 222, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl) and Frank Welker (
The Transformers, Scooby-Doo, Futurama). Stay tuned for updates about this title, as further developments occur!
