Burn Notice came back to the USA Network with a vengeance this past January, heating up the airwaves with the second season's second half...which fans had been burning for since the mid-season break in September. Now we're closing in on the season two finale this Thursday (in fact, Gabrielle Anwar was on
The Today Show this morning to promote it). We bet you all can't wait! And, we bet you can't wait for the DVDs, either. Well, we've got the scoop on when you'll be able to get those.
An early alert to retailers tells them to expect
Burn Notice - Season 2 to be available starting on
June 16th. Keep in mind that this date could still change, as could the contents, but this is what our friends in the industry are passing on to us this morning. It will be a 4-disc set running approx. 690 minutes, with all 16 episodes plus bonus material. While those extras are still being finalized, we're expecting at least some commentary tracks, a gag reel, and possibly deleted scenes. Video will be widescreen, audio in 5.1 Dolby Surround for both English and Spanish. Subtitles will be there in English, Spanish and French. Cost will be $49.98 SRP, but you can
pre-order from Amazon at just $34.99 (discounted price is subject to change at Amazon's discretion, without notice).
Jeffrey Donovan, Anwar, Bruce Campbell and Sharon Gless are joined this year by Tricia Helfer (
Battlestar Galactica), Patrick Fischler (upcoming episodes of
Lost), Cindy Pickett (
St. Elsewhere), Patrick Fabian (
Veronica Mars), Audrey Landers (
Dallas), Robin Givens (
Head of the Class), Method Man (
The Wire), Tim Matheson (
The West Wing), Amy Pietz (
Caroline in the City), Stacy Haiduk (
Superboy), M.C. Gainey (
Lost), Michael Shanks (
Stargate SG-1), Dina Meyer (
Birds of Prey) and other guest stars that we've almost certainly overlooked! Stay tuned for updates, including package cover art, just as soon as Fox Home Entertainment finalizes everything and makes it official.
