This past Thursday we
reported that Classic Media is preparing a "Complete Series" DVD release, with all 5 seasons of
Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends coming in one package early in 2011. We got our early information from Amazon at the time, but then soon after our report went up the e-tailer took down their info. As of today, however,
Amazon's pre-order listing is back up and is once again accepting advance purchases (as are the listings for four other stories we reported on the same day).
However, today we also heard from Classic Media themselves, informing us that two of the primary pieces of info at Amazon's entry, which we relayed to our readers, were incorrect! The price shown is actually too high: instead of $149.95 SRP, the list price we're informed will actually be $99.98 SRP. Also, the date shown is a week too soon: Classic tells us that the street date for this title is
January 11th, rather than the fourth. Amazon should correct their info relatively soon, we expect.
And what IS the exact title of the set? The studio very kindly sent over the package art for this item, and we've got the scoop on that for you below. As you can see, this 18-disc set has the hilarious title of "
Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends - The Complete Series: 100% Complete Bull"! How great, and we can't wait to check this out for ourselves. No other new details are available yet, as things are still being finalized. But stay tuned and we'l update you further as we find out more!
