At the end of last month we
passed along a report from GoldenAgeCartoons.com that April 6h would see the release of two titles, each with 15 news-to-DVD remastered shorts: "
Looney Tunes Super Stars' Bugs Bunny: Hare Extraordinaire" and "
Looney Tunes Super Stars' Daffy Duck: Frustrated Fowl." There were even thumbnails of the box art for each of these single-disc efforts. This morning Warner Home Video has officially announced both items, giving a different (presumably finalized) release date of
April 27th, the list of shorts included on each, and high-resolution 3D packaging pics. Bonus material (if any), specs and pricing is not available this morning, but please check back here to this story for updates later today (we expect cost to be added, if nothing else). For now, you'll find the list of shorts provided by the studio given below, and the large package art shots are at the bottom.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Warner Home Video has been in touch with us about the list of shorts we posted earlier today for Looney Tunes Super Stars' Bugs Bunny: Hare Extraordinaire and Looney Tunes Super Stars' Daffy Duck: Frustrated Fowl. The lists, which we obtained from Warner's password-protected press site, were incorrect versions of contents, and do not represent the final list of remastered shorts which will appear on either of these April releases. At the studio's request we have removed those lists for now, and we will supply them once the correct, finalized info is available for these DVDs. In the meantime, we've learned that the pricing on these titles is planned for $19.98 SRP each. For our part, we regret any confusion generated by our passing along the incorrect information.
