In mid-November
we passed along word that animation expert Jerry Beck, during an interview on
Stu's Show at Shokus Internet Radio, revealed that Warner Home Video's 2010 plans for the Looney Tunes included "
single disc Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck DVDs in April that will be all new to the home video market ." No details were offered up at the time, either on the show or at Beck's
CartoonBrew.com website. Nor has Warner officially announced these yet. However, the day after Christmas, the folks at GoldenAgeCartoons.com
posted word that they said they had gotten from Warner late in the evening on Christmas Day.

Their post said that the titles of these two releases would be "
Looney Tunes Super Stars' Bugs Bunny: Hare Extraordinaire" and "
Looney Tunes Super Stars' Daffy Duck: Frustrated Fowl," and that both single-disc releases would be available on
April 6th. Confirming the info we had in our last report, these will each contain 15 remastered shorts that have never been released on DVD before. The actual contents on each of these titles won't be available until Warner finalizes them; it was made very clear to us that the actual list of shorts hasn't been locked in just yet. Nor has pricing been decided upon yet. The folks at Golden Age Cartoons did have a couple of
thumbnail-sized pictures of the box covers, though, and we hope they don't mind that we've passed them along to our readers here (please head over there to read the info and see the pictures in their original form). Our thanks to them, and to our friends at ToonZone.net (who
also passed the info along) for giving us the heads-up!
Stay tuned for updates, of course. And that wraps it up for the year, folks. My next news post is on Monday, January 4th. From both me and Gord, we wish all of you a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR! Be safe, and we'll see you in 2010.
