BURBANK, CA (November 11, 2009) - This Valentine's Day, Warner Home Video (WHV) will present cartoon lovers with an animated treat, Bugs Bunny's Cupid Capers, a delightful TV special available on DVD for the first time, January 12, 2010. Titled Bugs Bunny's Cupid Capers, the DVD will retail for $14.97 SRP. WHV is also offering animation fans an additional Valentine's-themed title, with the deluxe edition of Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, which is available in retail outlets now for $19.97 SRP.
When Elmer Fudd plays Cupid, romantic mayhem is what results in this special of classic animated shorts featuring a host of favorite Looney Tunes characters. In this Valentine's special, Bugs Bunny becomes an amorous rabbit when he's caught by Cupid's arrow -- in this case, fired by Elmer Fudd. Throughout their high-jinks Bugs and Elmer are joined by Tweety, Sylvester, Porky/Petunia Pig, Speedy Gonzales, Foghorn Leghorn, the Road Runner, Pepe Le Pew and many others.
Legendary cartoon classics featured in this special include Hare Trimmed (1953), The Grey-Hounded Hare (1948), Little Beau Pepe (1952), The Super Snooper (1952), Rabbit Romeo (1957), Wild Over You (1953), Of Rice and Hen (1953) and Devil May Hare (1953).
Bonus shorts on this DVD include Holiday Highlights and Past Perfumance, starring Pepe LePew. This release will also include six menu based puzzle games.
Also available from WHV is the deluxe edition of Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, which retails for $19.97 SRP. No Valentine's Day celebration would be complete without a viewing of this beloved classic which stars the lovable Peanuts gang as they prepare for the annual holiday.
