Earlier today
we posted outside artwork for the set which we called "The Complete Collection." The correct title is "The Chosen Collection" - sounds better, don't you think?
Fox has sent over artwork illustrating the inside of the case. Each season will come in a book-style package called a "Digi-Stack." These are the same cases used by Warner Bros on
Nip/Tuck Season 2,
One Tree Hill Season 1, and Paramount uses for the
C.S.I. releases. The trays are hinged on the left-side, and all the discs face upwards. The sets stack one on the other, with season 1 at the top, and season 7 at the bottom.
A number of people have asked us about the contents of the set. The set will contain the
same discs that have already been released (same extras, transfers and commentary tracks), though the artwork may be different. This set also comes with a special bonus disc containing a brand new documentary featuring Joss Whedon. Each box will be individually numbered, and will contain a signed letter (machine reproduced) from Joss Whedon, and a comprehensive book filled with episode listings and memorable Buffy quotes. The letter, bonus disc, and booklet won't be available anywhere else.
