Earlier today,
Reuters had a story about how Entertainment Rights ("ER") of the U.K. had concluded a deal with BCI Eclipse - who already distributes
He-Man on DVD in North America for ER - to distribute other Filmation properties as well.
She-Ra, The Original Ghost Busters (from the 1975 live-action show starring Larry Storch and "Tracy the Gorilla") and
The New Adventures of Zorro.
We have been pleased to learn that an often-requested Filmation cartoon is part of that deal also!
BraveStarr has been mentioned in the
BCI press release this evening, which is posted separately. While there is no ETA yet on when we will see DVDs, it is apparent from our correspondence with BCI today that they are VERY excited by this deal, and will try to begin making fans happy just as soon as possible. Still, as we here at TVShowsOnDVD know from years of watching this industry, it takes a while to get a proper release together. Stay tuned and we'll keep you apprised of developments!
