A couple of weeks ago we
reported that Mill Creek's 7-DVD set of
BraveStarr - The Complete Series is coming out on
May 10th (along with a pair of 2-disc "best-of" sets, titled simply as
BraveStarr - Volume 1 and
BraveStarr - Volume 2). The studio, known mainly for it's bare-bones releases at an affordable price, has let us know that there will be actually be a piece of bonus material on their
Complete Series package. Along with the featured productions, you'll also get this extra: "
Feature-Length audio commentary track with producer Lou Scheimer, director Tom Tataranowicz, Voice Actor Pat Fraley, Animator Tom Sito and Voice Director Erika Scheimer. Hosted by Andy Mangels." Nice to hear! Now, Mill Creek didn't say so outright, but that sounds like it could be the same sort of thing that was previously available on one of the various BCI-produced
Bravestarr DVDs back in the old days. So if you already own everything from that era, we're not saying that this supplement is necessarily a reason to double-dip. Then again it might be new, but we're just not certain, okay?
