Brava Italia (mini-series) - The Travel Documentary with Paul Sorvino Comes to DVD

Acorn Media releasing WNET's 3-episode mini-series in January

Posted by David Lambert
Get an intimate tour of the Italian way of life. What is it like to live surrounded by beauty, steeped in culture and tradition, immersed in style, creativity, and history? With spectacular cinematography, evocative music, and interviews with Francis Ford Coppola and others, this three-part series takes you inside Italy today-a place where everyday life is an art form.

Narrated by award-winning actor Paul Sorvino, and broadcast on public television, Brava Italia tours la bella Italia from the streets to the skies, bustling cities to peaceful hill towns, and snowcapped Alps to sun-kissed shores.
Acorn Media presents their DVD release of the WNET mini-series Brava Italia, hosted by Paul Sorvino. This 3-part, 178-minute release will be available on January 5th, on a single disc at a cost of $29.99 SRP in the USA and CA$39.99 SRP in Canada. Video is in anamorphic widescreen, and audio is English Stereo, with closed captioning for the hearing impaired. Contents, including bonus material, are listed below, with package art at the bottom:
  • "The Proud Tradition": Italy is a country that honors family history and celebrations, local crafts, rituals, and food and wine.
  • "The Beautiful Life": The cultural legacy of Italy includes Romanesque cathedrals, the art of Michelangelo, the voyages of Columbus, and a uniquely Italian zest for life.
  • "The Eternal Country": As Italy reinvents itself, the skills and spirit of those who have lived before provide a guide to the future.
