I know there are tons of Boy Meets World fans out there, so this is the news they've been waiting to hear - there's hope for the show on DVD.
I met with someone in charge of licensing TV shows for ABC during a recent trip to LA, and he said that he's trying to find a home for Boy Meets World. This means the current licensing deal with Buena Vista Home Entertainment, the company that released seasons 1-3, is ending soon, and there's an opportunity for a new distributor to step in and release the show. A new distributor would license the entire series, including seasons 1-3 which have already been released.
While I wish I had solid news that the set was coming, this is a step in the right direction. I have no doubt a studio will license the show and continue to release it, but that hasn't happened yet. We'll keep you informed on any developments, but we wanted to let fans know that there's a better chance the show will continue to be released than there was 6 months ago.
