Many of you
Boomtown fans will remember back in mid-February, when TVShowsOnDVD
posted the scoop that the series was headed for DVD, courtesy of the new Lions Gate-Artisan partnership that, at the time, had just recently formed.
The latest hardcopy issue of
Video Business magazine has an article that was written inside the studio, while various supplements were being recorded for the set. The article specifies that the release date is
July 20th, in a 6-DVD package.
This news was picked up and distributed by several on-line DVD sites, but you know we here at TVShowsOnDVD like to dig up as much info as possible for our readers. So we talked to someone who worked on the set, and received precise info about what the
Boomtown DVD supplements will consist of:
- Commentary Tracks by Cast & Crew
- 6 commentaries for Season 1 episodes
- 3 commentaries for Season 2 episodes
- 2 Featurettes (titles were not named)
- One featurette about the the show itself
- Featurette about the unique way the episodes were told
