It's been just over a year since CBS/Paramount released a pair of half-season DVD sets for
Vol. 1 and
Vol. 2 of "
The Official 1st Season," and now the studio has finally given fans what they've wanted: an announcement for the follow-up set! Today CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment revealed that
December 7th will see the release of
Bonanza - The Official 2nd Season, Vol. 1. Running almost 15 hours for the featured episodes, it will also come with a number of extras. Here's an early list of them (may be subject to change):
- Audio Commentaries with Julie Adams, Ben Cooper and Stella Stevens
- Isolated Music Track
- On Air Promos: "Just Hossin' Around" (with Dirk Blocker) and "Very Very Hoss & Little Joe"

UPDATE: CBS/Paramount has sent retailers an early look at the front cover art for this 5-disc, 18-episode set, and some of our friends in the industry have passed that picture along to us. We've got a look at it for you below, but please keep in mind that it could be subject to change:
